Mike Komprood of Gratiot and Lynette Wiegel of Darlington an-nounce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Katie Wiegel to Dustin Batton, son of Robin and Chris Lindner of Linden and Edward and Sherry Batton of Montfort.

The bride-to-be graduated from Darlington High School in 2002. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from UW-Platteville in 2006. She is employed as a social worker in the Children's Unit at the Richland County Health & Human Services.

The groom graduated from Iowa-Grant High School in 2003. He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He is currently employed at Charter Communications, Dodge-ville.

The couple will marry August 7 in Dodgeville, with a reception to follow in Belmont.
