Coyier, Robert F. "Bob"
Robert F. "Bob" Coyier, age 90, of Mineral Point died on Thursday July 11, 2019 at Atrium Post Acute Care Center in Mineral Point. He was born on Sept. 6, 1928 in Portage, WI the son of Lee and Edna (Nolan) Coyier. Robert was united in marriage to Darlene Grunow on Sept. 19, 1948.
Together they lived on the dairy farm owned by Darlene's parents when first married and then moved to Madison. While living in Madison, he and his father had a wood working shop. Bob built two new homes, one in Madison and one on the farm. He and Darlene decided to move back to the family farm where they continued farming until retiring in 1989 and moving to Mineral Point. Robert enjoyed working with horses; he trained and raced horses while living on the farm. He also liked to play cards with his wife and friends. The family would like to thank the staff at the Atrium Post Acute Care Center for their wonderful and compassionate care.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Darlene, three children, seven grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Bruce (Mary) Coyier of Livingston with children Tracy (Fred) Kite with their children Clayton and Hailee. Amy (Travis) Geary with children Trevor and Addie. Jenny (Freddie) DiVall with children Preston, Mallory and Reese.
Gary (Betty) Coyier of rural Mineral Point with children Chad (Sara) Coyier with children Peyton, Isaac and Bresnia. Jason (Ashley) Coyier with children Braeden and Audrey.
Sheri Coyier of Cuba City with children Shauna and son Zace and Colton Kenyon.
He is also survived by his two sisters; Pat (Dale) Schroeder of Edgerton and Donna Hopke of Madison along with several nieces and nephews.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, brother Duane Coyier, and brother-in-law Don Hopke.
At the request of the family no formal funeral services will be held but a visitation for family and friends will be from 2-4:00 P.M. on Saturday afternoon July 20, 2019 at the Soman-Larson Funeral Home in Montfort with the burial of the cremated remains to follow in the Mifflin Cemetery in Mifflin Township Iowa County, WI.
