Dailey, Cathy A.

Cathy A. Dailey, age 66, of Livingston passed away unexpectedly on Monday morning June 17, 2019 at the University Hospital in Madison as the result of being involved in an automobile accident. She was born on November 18, 1952 in Dodgeville the daughter of Gordon and Fern (Fingerson) Cook. After graduating from Iowa-Grant High School, Cathy was united in marriage to Mark R. Dailey on June 6, 1970 at the Montfort United Methodist Church.
Together they farmed in rural Livingston where she was always willing to lend a helping hand until becoming a teller at the bank in Montfort. Cathy's unforgettable smile served the banking needs of many for over 20 years. Choosing a new venture, Cathy was currently employed at Land's End of Dodgeville. Along with Cathy's "larger than life" personality and love of laughter, she adored her family and her Lord. She began each day bright and early and took time to read her devotions. She felt very blessed by the Lord for the things she was granted.
Cathy was sure to live everyday, whether bringing a smile to the ones around her, cooking a great meal, canning, sewing, going to a garage sale, or cooking an award winning pie for family and friends. Cathy also taught AWANA and vacation Bible School in Edmund, along with trying to help out and support various organizations throughout the area.
Cathy liked swimming and coloring with the kids, and "Nana Bubbles" always had time to snuggle with her grandchildren. She loved playing cards, especially a game of Gin verses Mark, and working in her large garden, and dancing. Her favorite time of year was Christmas, because she wanted to share, and never forget, that it was a day to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. Cathy's presence in this world truly made it a better place. Her zest for life, her selflessness and dedication to others, along with that beautiful smile, will be remembered and cherished forever.
Cathy is survived by her beloved husband Mark of Livingston, four children; Kirk Adam (Holly) Dailey of Sadorus, IL, Justin Jared Dailey of Livingston, Dwaine Garrett (Cari) Dailey of Lodi, Carmen Renee (Dustin) DeRaad of Prairie City, IA, her five awesome grandchildren; Clay, Grant, and Mairyn Dailey, and Coby and Darbey DeRaad, two sisters; Diane (Dennis) Myers of LaCrosse, Lugene Bartow of Onalaska, brother Craig (Renata) Cook of Norridge, IL, and numerous special nieces and nephews.
Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, brother and sister-in-law Kerry (Claudia) Cook and her niece Amy Myers.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday June 22, 2019 at the Community Evangelical Free Church of Platteville with burial to follow in the Rock Church Cemetery rural Livingston, WI.
