Anderson, Robert K.

Robert K. Anderson passed away peacefully on October 5, 2018 in Los Angeles after a courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease. Bob was born on September 30, 1947 in Dodgeville to Stansmore and Mary (Kolb) Anderson. He graduated from Dodgeville High School and the University of Wisconsin, Madison with a degree in Communications (Radio, TV and Film.) Bob joined the US Navy in 1974. He attended Officer Candidate School in 1976. He quickly rose through the ranks but changed designation from Line Office to that of Public Affairs and served his country in many trouble spots, including Sarajevo, Bosnia during that war and in many other war zones in Africa and the Middle East.
As a Commander, Bob was made Director of NAVINFO WEST production office in Los Angeles, where he took Hollywood scripts from inception through post production and worked with many film stars, writers and directors. He worked closely with Mark Harmon (NCIS) and many others on a variety of television shows. Some films Bob worked on include PEARL HARBOR, BEHIND ENEMY LINES, ANTWONE FISHER, TEARS OF THE SUN and many more.
Bob is survived by his wife, Penny and son John Paul (Jenn), grandsons Sebastien and Elijah, brother Bill (Sue), sister-in-law Joanna, nices Paula and nephews, Kolk and Blake Anderson. He was preceded in death by his beautiful daughter, Gina and his parents. A celebration of Bob's amazing life will be at a later date.
