Cadens "Cader" Patrick Carmody, age 41, of Madison, formerly of Ridgeway passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 13, 2023.
He was born on April 17, 1981 in Madison to Patrick and Voneetia (Arndt) Carmody. He grew up in Ridgeway and graduated from Dodgeville High School in 1999 with honors. Growing up, he loved playing baseball with his cousins and friends. Fishing was always a favorite pastime of Cader's. He loved to cook and enjoyed fixing meals for the family. More recently, Cader loved spending time with his dogs (Ollie and Finn) boating on Madison lakes. He was an avid Brewers, Packers and NASCAR fan.
Cader is survived by his parents Pat and Vonee Carmody of Ridgeway; his brother William "Bill" Carmody of Richland Center; his sister Misti (Dave) Cunzenheim of Platteville; two nieces Skottie and Autumn Carmody of Richland Center; his maternal grandparents Ron and Eileen Arndt of Dodgeville; his paternal grandmother Agnes Sickels of Barneveld; many aunts, uncles and cousins; close friend Christine Heuser and his beloved dog Finn.
In death, Cader is reunited with his paternal grandfather Cecil Sickels, his uncle Ronald Arndt, Jr., special friend Jessica Lipska and his beloved dog Ollie.
A visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at the GORGEN-McGINLEY & AYERS FUNERAL HOME in Dodgeville.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the Iowa County Humane Society, 305 County Highway YZ, Dodgeville, WI 53533.
