Mary Louise Knudson died on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 with her mom by her side. Mary was born on May 6, 1960 to Bob and Lois Knudson.
Mary was a graduate of UW-Platteville. Mary worked in IT, she had a special knack for solving programming issues others couldn't figure out. She worked at Northwestern Mutual for 30 years. Mary had a love of genealogy and used that interest in her work with Iowa County Historical Society. Mary battled Lupus since her diagnosis in 1986. She did not let the disease stop her from participating fully in her life.
Mary is survived by her mom Lois, her brother Mark (Maria) Knudson of Rochester, NY and numerous cousins and friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her father, Bob Knudson as well as aunts and uncles.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, February 12, 2023 at First United Methodist Church in Mineral Point. Pastor Chris Droste and Pastor Barb Cook will officiate. Friends may call from 12 noon until 2 p.m. on Sunday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Iowa County Historical Society.
