Helen Marie Kenny, age 97, passed away on October 22, 2022, in Dodgeville, Wisconsin. Helen was born on January 26, 1925, in Clifton Township, Grant County, Wisconsin. She was seventh of nine children born to William and Icy (Conroy) Wagner. As a young girl, Helen attended New California School, and she graduated from Livingston High School in 1943. Helen worked at Fest's Cafe until 1944 when she left to accompany her brother Harold's wife, Jean Wagner, and their newborn son to Hobbs Army Air Base in New Mexico where her brother was stationed. Helen worked on the base until the war was over. When she returned home, she worked in the office at the Livingston Co-op.

Helen married Clinton Kenny of Platteville, Wisconsin, on January 21, 1950. They lived in Livingston and raised two daughters Vicki and Debbie. The families' treasured their time together and shared a love of large family dinners and country music. From 1964 until retiring in 1984, Helen and her husband Clinton ran Kenny's Market together. Owning a small business provided not only a livelihood, but also an opportunity to deepen their lasting friendships in the community.

Following Clinton's death in 1993, Helen continued to live an active life, which included spending time with her children and grandchildren attending their sporting and other family events, playing euchre at the Livingston Public Library, and crafting. She was a member of the Livingston United Methodist Church and the Rock Church Memorial Society. In 2011, she was honored to be recognized as Livingston's Distinguished Citizen of the Year. Helen lived in her home in Livingston until 2017 when she moved to CrestRidge Assisted Living in Dodgeville, Wisconsin. There she made a new family of friends enjoying music, bus rides, and other fun-filled activities. In recent years, she was blessed with four great grandchildren, who also brought her much joy.

Helen is survived by her daughters--Vicki (Donald) Kieler and Debbie (Steve) Becker, her grandchildren-- Chase (Aimee), Shane (Shiro), Brittany (AJ) and Lauren--four great grandchildren-Winston, Zara, Mila, and Luca, a sister-in-law-Dorothy (Doug) Kenny, many beloved nieces and nephews and her goddaughter, Rael.
