Gleason, Betty Lou (Needham)

Betty Lou (Needham) Gleason, age 70, of Dodgeville passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2022 surrounded by family.

Betty was born on October 31, 1951 in Lancaster, WI, the youngest daughter of Max and Eleanor (Eisele) Needham. She attended Fennimore High School and later earned her GED from Southwest Technical College. On August 10, 1968 she married Robert (Bob) J. Gleason. They lived in Fennimore until moving to Dodgeville in 1980. Betty had a variety of jobs throughout her life. She worked as a CNA at Good Samaritan Center in Fennimore, then parts manager at Mueller Implement in Dodgeville, and later worked for Paint Plus in Dodgeville. Some of her interests were watching her favorite NASCAR racers Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt Jr., playing cards, baking, and crafting. She was a strong woman who overcame many adversities and loved her family dearly.

Betty is survived by her children Amy (Mark) Wasley of Dodgeville, Robert (Emily) Gleason of Statesville, NC, and Tammy (Steven) Wilkinson of Dodgeville; seven grandchildren Megan Wasley, Amber (Kyle) Glynn, Taylor Gleason, Kacey (Matthew) Eckelberg, and Kayla, Madysen, and Trent Wilkinson; and one great-granddaughter Eleanor Glynn. Also survived by her sister Beverly Reukauf of Dodgeville; brother Max E. (Patsy) Needham of Madison; sisters-in-law Kathi (Curt) Freymiller, Rita Ferrie, and Mary Gleason, all of Fennimore; brother-in-law Michael Coudray of Belleville; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Bob of 52 years, parents Max and Eleanor, parents-in-law Ambrose and Eleanor (Wilkins) Gleason, brother Bill and sister-in-law Pam Needham, brother-in-law Royce Reukauf, sister-in-law Patty Prochaska, brother-in-law Tom Gleason, sister-in-law Mary Coudray, brother-in-law Mike Ferrie, and niece Jennifer Gleason.
