Imhoff, James (Jim) Richard
James (Jim) Richard Imhoff, 66, of Muscoda, passed away on July 3, 2022, after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
Jim was born in Richland Center, Wisconsin, on September 9, 1955, to Harold and Mary (Vranek) Imhoff.
Jim married his loving wife Connie Michek on May 15, 1977; their marriage lasted an amazing 45 years.
After graduating from Riverdale High School, Jim and Connie began their career, farming together. Over time Jim's career transitioned to Marathon Cheese, and Meister Cheese, until he ultimately settled in at Universal Silencer. Jim spent thirty-two plus years at Universal before retiring in the spring of 2019. Jim took pride in his work and enjoyed the time he spent helping others.
Jim was a loving father, grandpa/papa, and friend. He was the happiest when he was surrounded by others, sharing and making memories. His time spent with others is what kept him going until the end. He loved spending time outdoors, hunting, and attending countless sporting events. He was a constant presence in the stands who was always there for his children and grandchildren cheering them to do their best.
Whenever something needed to be done Jimbo was there to help with a smile. His willingness to dive in and help along with his infectious personality made even the most difficult tasks enjoyable.
Jim is survived by his loving wife Connie, his children: Barb (Curt) Hying, Dan (Roanne) Imhoff, Lori (Warren) Peat; his grandchildren: Grant, Gage, and Hilary Hying, Delaney and Archer Imhoff, Justin and Kaitlyn Miller, and Trinity Peat; his siblings: Sharon (Norbert) Wolfe, Marilyn (Donnie) Wolfe, Jean Imhoff, Bob (Annette) Imhoff, Emma (Kevin) Drone and Diane (Bruce) Irish; his in-laws: Gordy Bossen, Karen (Roger) Dax, Carol (Brian Kratochwill), Rod (Diana) Michek, and Kristi (Dewey) Zumach; many nieces and nephews, and other family and friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his son, Richard Imhoff; his parents; his brother, Don Imhoff; his niece, Tammy Imhoff-McCarville; his in-laws, Donald and Norma Michek; his sister-in-law, Kathy Bossen.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at 11:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Burial will be held at St. John's Catholic Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at the Godager Pratt Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a rosary to be prayed at 8:00 p.m.. Visitation will also be held on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at the Godager Pratt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until the departure for the church at 10:45 a.m. The family suggests memorials in Jim's name be given to the Iowa County Cancer Coalition, Juvenile Diabetes Foundation of Wisconsin, or the ALS Association-Wisconsin Chapter. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with their arrangements.
