Ley, Kenneth J.
Kenneth J. Ley, age 67, of Livingston, WI passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday afternoon Nov. 3, 2021, at his residence in Livingston. He was born on November 7, 1953, in Dodgeville the son of Charles and LaVern (Heacock) Ley. Ken was united in marriage to Joyce Scott on January 19, 1974.
Ken graduated from Iowa-Grant High School in 1971. He loved working with farmers and began his dairy career in 1972 at the Livingston Creamery where he was a cheese maker. Through the years he was employed at Preston Cheese, Old Wisconsin Cheese, Swiss Valley, Prairie Farms and Hook Cheese as a Field Rep. Ken retired in 2019. Ken loved spending time with his grandchildren, camping in many state parks along with going west ATV riding and hunting. He liked hunting deer, turkey, and elk. Ken also enjoyed cheering on the Green Bay Packers and playing a competitive game of cards. He was the Secretary of bowling leagues at Tower Junction for many years. Ken was a former member of the Clifton-Livingston Fire Department.
Ken is survived by his wife of 47 years Joyce of Livingston, two daughters Mindi (Tom) Perrich of Sun Prairie, and Melanie Ley of Madison, two grandchildren Zachary and Allyson Perrich, five siblings Michael (Sandy) Ley, Cindy (Mike) Carl, Charles Ley, JoAnn Hopper, and Daniel (Anna) Ley along with many nieces and nephews.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers Ron and Arthur Ley.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday evening November 12, 2021, at the Soman-Larson Funeral Home in Montfort with burial of cremated remains to be held at a later date in the Rock Church Cemetery rural Livingston. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service on Friday.
