Johnson, Donna Mae

Donna Mae Johnson, age 86, of Clyde, passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at UW Hospital following a brief illness. Donna was born on January 25, 1935 in Avoca to Ercill and Mae (Rakow) Bowen. She was a graduate of the Avoca High School. Donna married Joseph "Joe" Johnson on October 18, 1954 and the couple farmed on the Johnson Family Farm for over 50 years. A highlight of her years on the farm was when Lady Bird Johnson visited in 1967. Donna enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchild and great grandchildren. Family was everything to her. Grandma loved her coffee group and working at Lone Stop Shell.

She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Gordon Sturdevant, infant son; a son, Ronald Johnson, a daughter, Connie Leigh; son in law, Wayne Adams; two grandsons, Chad and Brad Adams; son in law, AJ; two brothers, James and John Bowen and one sister, Elizabeth Faga.

Donna is survived by her children, Pam (Ray) Hildreth of Mineral Point; Cheri (John) Crook of Dodgeville; Diane (Randy) Auck of Poynette; Michael Johnson of Lone Rock; Gary (Laura) Johnson of Muscoda and John (Jennifer) Johnson of Clyde; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two sisters, Carol Randall of Mesa, AZ: Norma Bowen of Windsor; an aunt, Marie Rakow of Richland Center as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at the Lulloff-Peterson-Houck Funeral Home in Dodgeville. Pastor Steven Schneider will officiate with burial in North Otter Creek Cemetery in Clyde. Friends may call at the funeral on Saturday after 10:00 A.M. Online condolences may be made at
