Pustina, Delbert D.
Delbert D. Pustina, age 81, of Highland, passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Upland Hills Nursing & Rehab following a long battle with I.B.M. (Inclusion Body Myositis). Delbert was born on May 10, 1940 to John and Bernice (Rosenau) Pustina. He was a 1958 graduate of the Highland High School. He married Diane Faull on April 15, 1961. Delbert worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator, doing road construction all over Wisconsin. He was a proud member of the Operating Engineers Local 139 for 53 years. Delbert was proud of and enjoyed watching his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren participate in athletics.
He was an avid hunter, spending many weekends hunting bear in Northern Wisconsin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Norbert Pustina and a daughter-in-law, Nancy Pustina.
Delbert is survived by his wife, Diane; four children, Jeff Pustina, Dan Pustina, Teri (Jeff) Michek and Gary (Laurie) Pustina; 11 grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Kelsey and Chloe Pustina; Paige (Cody) Fredrick and Kale Pustina; Carissa (Kurt) Menke, Cody Wepking and Brooke Michek; Ali (Andy) Bockop, Laci (Kyle) Klein and Grace Pustina; ten great grandchildren, Amelia and Malcolm Fredrick; Estie, Hudson and Maren Menke; Tenleigh and Boston Bockhop; Hallie, Frankie and Nellie Klein; his sister, Sharon (Larry) Pink; his brother, Bob Pustina and his sister-in-law, Patsy Pustina as well as nieces, nephews and many friends.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 17, 2021 at Ss. Anthony & Philip Catholic Church in Highland. Fr. Jim Murphy will officiate with inurnment in St. Philip's Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the church, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Sunday. The family invites you to lunch following the service. Memorials to Upland Hills Nursing & Rehab would be greatly appreciated.
