Fritsch, Donald Dwayne

Donald Dwayne Fritsch, age 90, formerly of Cobb Wisconsin, passed away at his home in Marshall, Wisconsin on October 2, 2021. Dwayne was born on February 21, 1931 in Dodgeville, Wisconsin on the home farm to Henry and Florence (Fingerson) Fritsch.

He graduated from Cobb High School in 1950. Dwayne married "Betty", Ellen Cadegan on April 25, 1953. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force from 1950 to November of 1954.

In January1955, they moved back to Wisconsin renting a farmhouse on the old Tucker farm, where Dwayne began working at the Cobb Canning factory as a field man for four years and then in 1959, Dwayne worked for Harold and Mardell Kurth as a hired hand until he began farming. He farmed outside of Cobb until 1974 and then moved to a farmette in Marshall, WI where he began working as a mechanic for 15 years at Hanley Implement, Sun Prairie, WI until 1989 and then continued his career as a mechanic at Frohlings, Watertown, WI until retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, "Betty" Fritsch (Cadegan); siblings, Marie (Vernon) Gehrke, Kenneth (Clarice) Fritsch, Lyle (Arloine) Fritsch, Lucille (Gerald) Munns, Gerald (Rosella) Fritsch, Marjoie Fritsch (an infant sister), Merlyn (Lorraine) Fritsch and his Grandson, Chandler Jarlsberg.

Dwayne is survived by his sister, Beaulahmae (Fritsch) Tomas; five children, Donald (Sue) Fritsch of LaCrosse; Catherine (Al) Wendt of Marshall; Jeff (Rhonda) Fritsch of Prescott, AZ; Ellen (Dan) Herman of Juneau, WI and Cheryl Fritsch-Jarlsberg of Marshall, WI; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Sunday, October 10, 2021 at the Lulloff-Peterson-Houck Funeral Home in Dodgeville with Pastor Ramona Orton officiating. A visitation will be at Noon on Sunday. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Online condolences may be made at
