McGrath, Juanita C.
Juanita C. McGrath, age 84, of Dodgeville, passed away following a brief illness on Saturday, August 14, 2021. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, GG, sister, aunt, and good friend to many.
She was born on March 16, 1937 in Gays Mills, Wisconsin to Dale and Anna Kite.
Juanita worked 25+ years in the role as an Executive of Housekeeping and Maintenance at various medical facilities; Dodgeville, Madison, Colorado. She always took great pride in her work over those years, making sure all the nooks and crannies were spotless. Long after retirement, she picked up a little side job working for Summit Golf Brands of Barneveld Wis. She loved going to work and seeing all her lady friends, sharing many fun conversations, and then meeting up for breakfast with them on a Saturday morning every now and then.
She always had her arms around her family, constantly bringing each of them towards the family circle. She loved spending time in the kitchen creating delicious meals for her family. Always one to pull out a deck of cards or dice, along with her special pouch of quarters. She loved making frequent trips to the casinos with her loved ones, the more the merrier! Her front door was always open and welcome to all, so many conversations were had at her kitchen table, advice offered and taken. She was immensely proud of her children and family and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. We will all remember her big caring heart, beautiful sweet smile, that twinkle in her eye, sense of humor, warm hugs, and her stunning roses that she enjoyed caring for every year.
Juanita is survived by her loving husband, Marty McGrath (married December 18, 1971); her six children: Brad (Chris), Dan (Betty), Alan (Faye), Randy, Doug, Diane (Mike); her three step-children: Martin (Kelly), Karen (Alan), Stacy; ten grandchildren (their spouses/significant others), five step-grandchildren (one spouse), 14 great grandchildren, one great step grandchild. Every one of them brought her more joy and warmed her heart more than anyone ever knew.
She is further survived by three siblings: Marvelene (Frank) Rose, Sharon (Paul) Wepking, Karla Caygill (Rick); two half siblings: Dale Kite, Earl Kite; and all her many nieces, nephews, and God children.
Juanita was preceded in death by her first love, Willis E. Broaden (they married Dec 20, 1952 and later deceased on May 5, 1969), her parents, grandparents, great grandparents, parent-in-laws, two brothers-in-law, one sister-in-law, three half siblings, one great grandson, and one niece.
