Beverly Eslick, 88, formerly of Montfort, WI, passed away on December 30, 2020 at her daughters home in Portage, Michigan.
Bev was born in Neillsville, WI, on October 15, 1932, the daughter of Arthur and Florence (Alberts) Ehlers. She married Eugene (Gene) Newton Eslick in 1954 who preceded her in death in 1979. As a young mother in Woodstock, IL, with Gene, she enjoyed doing family things, like biking, swimming, fishing, and camping. Bev moved to the "farm" in Castle Rock, WI in 1983 where she lived with her dear companion, Donald Eddy, for over 35 years. Bev was an avid birdwatcher and enjoyed other wildlife.
She enjoyed gardening and had certain flowers she loved trying to grow. She took pleasure in fresh fruit, especially the raspberries she picked from her garden. She liked Friday fish fries, music, dancing, and playing cards. Nothing was more important to her than her family and she loved them very much. She will be missed by all of them, as well as by close friends.
Beverly is survived by her children, Kathy (Jack) Long of Portage, MI, Connie (Todd Teske) Gehris of Denver, CO, Kevin (Stacy) Eslick of Oregon, WI; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; dear aunt, Jeanette Braatz; grandson, Nathan Gehris; brother, Emil Ehlers; sister, Patricia Eddy; and special friend, Donald Eddy.
