Daugherty, Mary Jane
Mary Jane Daugherty passed away peacefully on December 28, 2020, in Dodgeville, Wisconsin, shortly after celebrating her 99th birthday.
Mary Jane was born Mary Jane Magdalene Bauman on November 18, 1921, in Lakehurst, New Jersey, while her father was stationed there in the Navy. She grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and moved to Dodgeville in 1953.
An active member of Otter Creek Lutheran Church, Mary Jane is remembered for her life-long love of Jesus Christ and her talents in cooking and needle crafts.
Mary Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Armund W. A. Bauman and Mary (Mae) Krimmer Bauman, and by her sister, Arline Bauman Arndt. She is survived by eight children: Armund (Bridget) Janto of Naples, FL.; Michael (Anna) Janto of Kingsland, TX.; Karen Janto (Stan) Miller of Alpharetta, GA.; Allan (Marcia) Butteris of Highland, WI.; Lisa Butteris Lyles of Garland, TX.; Lee Butteris of Dodgeville, WI.; Daniel (Judy) Butteris of Dodgeville, WI.; and Calvin (Debbie) Butteris of Spring Green, WI. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Otter Creek Lutheran Church in summer, 2021, at a date and time to be determined.
