Rhyner, Marvin C.
Marvin C. Rhyner, age 71, of Ridgeway, died peacefully at his home on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 following a five-month battle with MDS (Bone Marrow Cancer). Marvin was born on January 3, 1949 in Monroe, WI to Walter and Ruth (Eppenberger) Rhyner. He married Debra Forbes on July 27, 1968. Marvin worked for Southern Wisconsin Roofing and also drove Semi for Zimmerman Transfer until his retirement. He was an avid outdoorsman with his greatest joy being time spent with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Ivan Balsch.
Marvin is survived by his wife, Debra of Ridgeway; four children, Scott (Tara) Rhyner of Blanchardville; Chad (Shawna) Rhyner of Evansville; Wade (Bridget) Rhyner of North Freedom and Katie (Timothy) Owens of Dodgeville; ten grandchildren, Cassidy; Brittany; Owen; Brooke; Krista; Caden; Emma; Parker; Reese and Dylan; one great granddaughter, Brynlee; four siblings, Mary Ann Balsch of Columbus, MT; LeRoy (Pat) Rhyner of Mt. Horeb; Betty (Gene) Dilley of Dodgeville and Robert (Pam) Rhyner of Blue Mounds as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 14, 2020 at the Lulloff-Peterson-Houck Funeral Home in Dodgeville. A private family funeral service will be held followed by Full Military Honors. Online condolences may be made at www.houckfuneralhomes.com
