Hunter, Marian A.
Marian A. Hunter, age 76, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2020 at Bloomfield Healthcare, Dodgeville.
She was born on February 22, 1944 in Mineral Point to William H. and Erna W. (Streich) Powell in the rock Moses Strong Home. Marian married Thomas H. Hunter on Dec 17, 1960 at First United Methodist Church, Mineral Point. To this union was born daughter, Lora B Hunter and son, Gregory T Hunter. They had 51 years of marriage. Marian babysat for families in Mineral Point for 50 years. She enjoyed each and everyone of her kids. She loved shopping, collecting figurines, dancing, going out to dinner and antique car shows with Tom. Marian loved country music shows, traveling to Branson and Las Vegas. Seeing Ray Price was a real treat.
Marian is survived by her daughter, Lora of Boscobel; her sisters Frances Powell and Margaret (Bill) Heins of Dodgeville; brother-in-laws Merle U'ren and Ronald (Edith) Hunter; sister-in-law Pat Powell of Mineral Point, aunt Mary Streich of DeForest; numerous nieces & nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Tom (2012); her son Greg (1996); her parents William and Erna Powell; siblings Isabell (Ray) Hanson, Genevieve (Joe) Peplinski, Donald Powell, Darlene U'ren, Bernice (Larry) Martin, Robert (Rachel) Powell, her infant brothers Harold and William and in-laws Wesley C (Evelyn M) Hunter.
A Private Family Celebration of Life will be held at 11 am on Monday, September 14, 2020 at the First United Methodist Church in Mineral Point. Pastor Marilyn Brewer will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the Mineral Point Fire Department or the Mineral Point Rescue Squad.
