Kieslich, Patricia L. "Pat"
Today, August 25th we all said goodbye to Pat as she went to be with her Mom, Dad and twin brother, Paul. Pat and Paul were born to Jim and Loretta (Farrey) Kieslich on February 24, 1936 in Hazel Green, WI. Her dad always recalled they had one of the worst snowstorms during that time. Pat grew up in Cobb, WI and graduated from high school there. She lived with her parents until their passing. Her father owned and operated a feed mill in Cobb and Pat became a handy woman for her Dad, doing many errands for him. She loved walking to the post office to pick up the mail. She also enjoyed helping many neighbors in any way she could. A great memory for Pat was being part of the wedding ceremony when her brother was married to Joyce Jacobson in July of 1958. She so enjoyed becoming an aunt to the six gals joining Joyce and Paul in the years to follow. Pat's brother passed in March of 1991. This was difficult for everyone that knew Paul, but lives continued. The family remained in Cobb, then sadly, Pat's Mom passed away in September 2001, leaving Pat and her Dad alone. Soon after, Pat and her dad moved to Dodgeville. Pat took over as the lady of the house. It was difficult to watch at times as Pat took over a tough job. Her dad became ill during that time and passed in July 2006 leaving Pat alone. From then on her sister-in-law, Joyce, and her six nieces, were always there to help her. It was time now for Pat to begin her new life in assisted living style. She moved to CrestRidge Assisted Living. She loved the staff and the many activities that were offered. She played bingo attentively and loved to win. (She actually had her own bingo bag). She had UNO down to a science and played her hand brilliantly, and yes, if necessary, played everyone else's, oh, just to keep the game moving along. In January of 2020 it was necessary for Pat to find yet another place to live, and that took her to Bloomfield Nursing & Rehab. In the coming days, Covid 19 required the nursing home to set up rules preventing any visitors for all residents. Pat was always a person who wanted and needed to be with people as much as possible. Pat was aable to live with this, but eventually it was difficult for her. She received wonderful care and loved the staff, but her life weakened. It was time to begin another life, a never-ending life, back home with Mom, Dad and her twin brother, Paul.
Pat leaves behind her sister-in-law, Joyce Kieslich Widder; her nieces and their children, Marcia Kieslich; Jan (Terry) Janes and their daughter, Macie; Jill Kieslich and her daughters, Britta and Stina Rhude;; Mary Beth (Jim) Burke and their daughters, Sarah, Sophie and Brenna; Debora Kieslich and her sons, Caleb and Jonah Shuda and Anne (Chris Frame) Kieslich and their son, William as well as many cousins and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, September 4, 2020 at East Side Cemetery in Dodgeville with Pastor Jim Droste officiating. The Lulloff-Peterson-Houck Funeral Home, Dodgeville is serving the family. Online condolences may be made at www.houckfuneralhomes.com
