Gleisner, Alice Faye (Rikli)
Alice Faye (Rikli) Gleisner, age 78, of Dodgeville, passed away peacefully at Upland Hills Nursing & Rehab surrounded by her loving children. Faye was born February 6, 1941 in Dodgeville to Vernon and Alice Rikli. She married Ray Gleisner on June 19, 1957 in Merced, CA. She worked as a nurse's aide at Bloomfield Manor, a clerk at Ward Brodt and at Hennessey Implement assisting at the quarterly auctions. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit #97.
Faye enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and especially loved camping with her husband Ray. Faye was an amazing cook and enjoyed hosting family gatherings.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray; a son, Billy; her parents Vernon and Alice Rikli; in-laws Lloyd and Geraldine Gleisner; brothers-in-law Roland Gleisner; Shelby Null and a sister-in-law, Mary Lou Gleisner.
Faye is survived by five children, Barb (Joe) Joestgen, Oak Creek; Jerry (Ann) Gleisner Verona; Patty (Eric) Peterson, Milton; Deb Morgan, Madison and Bob (Laura) Gleisner, Fitchburg; nine grandchildren, Matthew (Danielle) Fry; Joe (Jamie) Peterson; Andy Peterson; Dana (Kiff) James; Joshua Morgan; Moriah Morgan; Khersa Morgan; Katie (Travis) Grooters; and Dan (Caitlin) Joestgen; six great-grandchildren, Jaxom and Ryder Fry; Mason and Emmalyn Peterson and Tyler and Ella Grooters.
She is further survived by one sister Diana (Les) Williams; Ray's siblings, Mary Ann Gleisner; Alice (Robert) McGinnis; Kathleen Null; Carolyn (Don) Krause; Monica (Ron) Krause; Joe Gleisner; Barbara (Roger) DeMoe and Veronica (Joel) Petty as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 31, 2020 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Dodgeville. Fr. Tafadzwa Kushamba will celebrate with burial in East Side Cemetery.
