Bossert, Mary Elizabeth (Teresa Mary Hacker)
Mary Elizabeth (Teresa Mary Hacker) Bossert, 89, passed thru the pearly gates greeted by her husband who had been waiting for her the past 35 years, on Saturday, January 25, 2020. Mary was born in Menomonee Falls, WI on June 13, 1930 to Edward and Marie (Serwe) Hacker. She graduated from Menomonee Falls High School in 1948. She married the love of her life Charles Phillip Bossert on April 14, 1956.
In 1959 Mary and Phil moved to Mineral Point, WI following Phil's dream of owning a Ben Franklin and Montgomery Wards store in a small town. When Phil passed away in a run in 1984 Mary took over full responsibility of running the businesses for the next 30 years until retirement just 5 years ago. Mary loved Mineral Point and every person that she encountered. She was the mother and hero of three children and Grandmother to 11. Mary loved being social and when asked what her hobbies were, she'd say ~ being with family and friends. She had a lifetime of love she radiated from her soul. She was a modern woman who stood out as a free thinker and embraced all friends as family. To many, she represented a 'Rock of Gibraltar' a matriarch, who had evolved throughout the years. Mary loved singing, going for walks, and just being with family. She will be so missed.
Mary is survived by her three children Ed (Tj Puckett), Rob (Carolyn) both of Mineral Point and Sandy (Steve) Andres of Verona. 11 Grandchildren, Reo, Tea, Sammi, Bodie and Rori Bossert. Cassandra, Grant and Brett Bossert and Madeline, Eli, and Katherine Andres; her special family friends exchange students Enrique and Fernando Ramirez, Mary's sister Lou Gross of Pewaukee and sister-in-law Barb Hacker of Menomonee Falls and many wonderful nieces and nephews ~ and countless friends around the world.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Phillip, sisters Dorothy (Herbie) Erdman and Lorraine (Joe) Batzler; brothers Donald (Martha) Hacker and Edward Hacker.
