Kite Jr, David L.
David "Crocket" L. Kite Jr., age 72, of Livingston passed away on Wednesday morning December 4, 2019, at the Upland Hills Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on April 17, 1947, in Dodgeville, the son of David and Helen (Straka) Kite. Dave was united in marriage to Kathy Pluemer on May 24, 1969, at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Montfort.
Dave graduated from Iowa-Grant High School and began his life long passion of working the land and his farming career in rural Livingston. He also worked part time for Bowden Alexander in Montfort. Dave enjoyed the simple things in life, spending time with friends, playing cards, watching sports, especially the Wisconsin Badgers football and basketball teams and the Green Bay Packers. He loved the outdoors, was an avid hunter, loved fishing, and training and raising many hunting dogs. Dave loved spending time with his family and will be deeply missed.
David is survived by his wife Kathy of Livingston, three children; David "Goose" (Tina) Kite of Montfort, Jennifer "Susie" Kite of Sahuarita, AZ, Jamey "Johnny" (Amy) Kite of Livingston, six grandchildren; Courtney (Joe) Shaben, Austin (Jena) Kite, Blayne, Grace, Kora, and Faith Kite, four great grandchildren; Adriena, Karter, Zoey and Lycoln, parents; David and Helen Kite of Montfort, nine siblings; Jim "Boss" (Linda) Kite of Montfort, Carl "Hank" Kite of Montfort, Jerry "Homer" Kite of Montfort, Barb (Steve) Enloe of Mifflin, Dan "Pete" Kite of Montfort, Don "Doc" Kite of Montfort, Eugene "Gordy" (Partner-GiGi) Kite of Montfort, Mary Kay (Mark) Esser of Cobb, Mark "Fred" (Tracy) Kite of Montfort and many sister and brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Dave was preceded in death by his infant siblings; Charles Kite and Margaret Kite.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, December 6, 2019, and on Saturday, December 7, 2019, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Soman-Larson Funeral Home in Montfort. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2019, at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Montfort, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
