Anderson, Charles Irvin "Chuck" "Charlie"
Charles Irvin "Chuck" "Charlie" Anderson, age 70, of Highland, WI passed away on Sunday November 10, 2019 at his home following an apparent heart attack. Chuck was born on June 16, 1949 in Dodgeville, WI to Irvin Anderson, and Patsy (Fillback) Anderson. He graduated from Highland High School in 1967. He worked with his father at Apex Cheese Factory where he made cheese and picked up milk from local farmers.
Chuck married Jane (Conroy) Anderson on October 25, 1969. They recently celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary with their children and grandchildren.
He worked at Don's Tire until he moved the family to Madison, WI where he worked at Ahrens' Cadillac and Oldsmobile as a mechanic and later a team lead. Chuck retired from Ahrens' after 28 years of service.
Chuck enjoyed the outdoors, including camping, hunting, watching and feeding the birds, and spending time in his deer stand (aka tree fort). He enjoyed grilling, experimenting with different recipes and having family meals with his kids and Grandkids. He was an avid Green Bay Packer and NASCAR fan, he enjoyed hunting shows, "Gold Rush", and numerous Alaskan Frontier shows. He enjoyed trying out new tech gadgets, "Alexa" and Chuck became good friends over the years. Grandpa Chuck immensely enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and teaching them all the importance of laughter.
Chuck is survived by his wife Jane; four children, Jason Anderson, Michael (Laura "Laura Mae") Anderson and Jerod Anderson all of Highland and Jill Anderson (Benjamin OrtizRivera) of Greenfield, WI; grandchildren, Jonathon and Riley Anderson; Isabella Ortiz and Briceson and Hadley Anderson. He is survived by the "Darellette's " (his sisters) Karen Forbes of Stockton, IL, Delores (Ted) Yager, Judy (Don) Laufenberg of Highland, The "Darrell's" (his brothers) Irvin Anderson of Highland, and Gary (Kristen) Anderson of DePere, WI and honorary "Darrell" Don Teeter of Madison. Also survived by his sister in laws, Judy (John) Wold of Rockford, IL, Sherry Conroy of Longmeadow, MA, and Mary Kay Conroy of Highland as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin and Patsy Anderson, in laws, Roy and Anna Conroy; two brothers-in-law, James Forbes and John Conroy and a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Conroy/Keenan.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 14, 2019 at Ss. Anthony & Philip Catholic Church in Highland with Fr. Jim Murphy officiating. A visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
