Dodgers coach Gene Van Dyck was a little concerned about the slow start.
"For the first three innings it looked like we had no clue how to hit a softball," Van Dyck said. "We had pop-up after pop-up to the infielders and the couple times we hit the ball hard, it was right at them, leading us stranding seven runners in the first three innings and trailing 1 to 0."
"On Friday and Saturday, we had faced three pitchers throwing in the upper 50's and low 60's. Then tonight the pitcher was throwing upper 40's to low 50's and we had a tough time adjusting. But by the fourth inning we were making the adjustment as we pounded out eight six runs in the 4th, 5th and 6th innings to take the win and a final conference win.
"Thursday night we travel to Highland for our final regular season game. Highland has been playing great ball and has two very good pitchers. It has the makings of quite a good competitive game. Then on Tuesday, we play Lodi here at home in the first game of the post season tournament."
