Arena/Spring Green native earns Doctoral Degree in Pharmacy
Nathan Harold Peck, has completed the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree at the Chicago College of Pharmacy (CCP) of Midwestern University (MWU). An official graduation ceremony and conferring of degrees took place on the MWU Campus in Downers Grove, Illinois, on Thursday May 23.
Dr. Peck is the son of Mark and Mary Peck of rural Arena. He is the grandson of Lucille and Joe Wankerl of Plain and the late Alma and Harold Peck. He graduated from River Valley High School, Spring Green. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Chemistry from the Univesity of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
While at MWU, he participated in Rho Pi Phi a coed professional fraternity dedicated to friendship, professionalism, and community service. Nathan worked at Walgreens as a pharmacy tech during his education. After graduation from MWU, Nathan plans to pursue a job in Wisconsin in retail pharmacy.
Founded in 1991, the Chicago College of Pharmacy offers the doctor of pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree. Its successfull curriculum emphasizes pharmaceutical care and pharmacy communications.
Midwestern University is one of only a few institutions in the country with two colleges of pharmacy: the Chicago College of Pharmacy and the College of Pharmacy-Glendale.
