Iowa-Grant School District Certifies Levy, down 4.37 percent from last year
|At a brief special board meeting, the Iowa-Grant School Board certified the 2018-19 levy with a decrease of 4.37 percent. The 2018 mill rate is down to 11.79 per thousand of assessed value from 2017's 12.32 per thousand. The 2017 tax levy was at $3,105,091 while 2018's comes in at $3,059,027. The total budget for the school district for 2018-19 is $12,303,128, up from the 2017-18 budget of $11,598,815.|
In other business:
Deb Hill talked in the public comment section about the need for equity in pay for coaches.
The board approved the overnight trip for the wrestling team.
Volunteer coaches for wrestling were approved.
The board continued having a work session to establish goals and priorities. The work session was facilitated by Jamie Nutter from CESA 3.
