Barneveld softball field gets start with board donation

A proposal for a completely upgraded softball field was discussed by the Barneveld School Board Wednesday.
The district will give $5,000 in seed money to show a commitment to the project which will cost in the neighborhood of $150,000. Long range plans call for a new grandstand/concession stand and improved drainage as two water/sewer issues surround the field and tiling needs to be done to take care of it....
