Highland board hears bullying, racism concerns

If you listened or attended the Highland School Board meeting Wednesday you would come away feeling there is work to do when it comes to racism and bullying.
Three adults and two students of color appeared before the board with stories of being the subject of racism and bullying. Two of the students are persons of color and said it is not uncommon to hear the "N-word" used when they are in the area and that they receive unfair treatment when it comes to school and extra curriculars. Both broke into tears as they were so upset with what they go through....
