Mineral Point Unified School District earns Wisconsin DPI mental health grant
|As a way to address the social, mental and emotional needs of students, Mineral Point Unified School District learned that they received a school based mental health grant provided by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.|
This information was presented to board members at a recent school board meeting, by Pupil Services Director Angela Klein, Social & Emotional Learning Coach Dani Robb, and Middle/High School Counselor Erika Brunson.
Mineral Point Unified School District was one of 144 individual school districts to receive this two year grant from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. The grant allocates $74,310 per school year to Mineral Point which part of the funds will be used to offset staffing costs for the Social and Emotional Learning Coach, as well as cover Universal Screening tool costs....
