How an elective at MPHS molds students into leaders

Mineral Point High School holds a long tradition of excellence both in academics and athletics.
Students excel in the classroom and in extracurricular activities and go on to greater achievements post graduation.
As academic achievement has continued, the sports teams have seen success across the board that has risen to new heights in recent years.
2020 was an incredible year for the Pointers in the shadows of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The football team had an undefeated season, boys soccer won conference, the wrestling team went to state, girls basketball went to state and finished runner-up, the golf team placed third at state and the baseball team finished at sectionals.
What's special about what's happening in Mineral Point is the quality of the student-athletes.
Pointers are well-rounded people that are kind, empathetic, responsible leaders in the community.
It's apparent that leadership means something at MPHS, as there is an elective called Leadership Class offered to students....
