I-G board narrows administrator search
to two candidates
The Iowa-Grant School Board announced at their meeting Monday that the search for a new superintendent has been narrowed to two candidates.
One of the candidates has been with the Iowa-Grant district in an administrative capacity and the other is presently a superintendent at an area school.
Robyn Oberfoell is currently serving the district at the grades 2-8 principal. She is originally from Mineral Point and received her further degrees from Edgewood College.
The other candidate is Mark Lierman who is presently superintendent at Shullsburg. He is a graduate of UW-LaCrosse where he received his teaching degree and completed his administrative license work at UW-Platteville.
Lierman has been Superintendent at Shullsburg since 2018 and spent a year as principal before taking the top position.
The board was scheduled to complete interviews with the two candidates tonight (July 15).
