Holes Fore a Cause nets $12,000 plus to be split four ways

You have probably heard someone say they spent the day on the golf course but for four local golfers they did that and more.
Joey Martin, Kieran Kenney, Mike Perotti and Michael Krey started at 5:13 a.m. and left the course at 8:47 that evening.
The foursome completed 126 holes on Friday, June 25 and when they finished special causes shared $12,340. Joey, the athletic director at Dodgeville, golfed in memory of two officials who passed unexpectedly this past year, Dennis Baumann and Tracy Krueger. Kieran golfed for the Iowa County Humane Society, Mike for the Fields of Honor and Michael for the Spring Green charity 4 Pete's Sake.
The theme the foursome followed for the day was "America" as the Fourth of July was nearing an Mike was playing for veterans.
Each of the golfers expressed their feelings through the following quotes.
Kieran: "I'd like to personally thank the love of my life, Princess Jennifer Schroeder, none of this could have been possible without her!" Jen was the lead person for all of the social media for the group this year and did an outstanding job helping promote all four of the fundraisers.
Joey: "We did it again! Playing that many holes is something else. It's physically and mentally challenging, but honestly quite fun at the same time. It hit me in the early afternoon thinking: "Why are we doing this!?!?" I remembered back to many of the conversations I had with Dennis Baumann and Tracy Krueger over the years and remember that those two guys were some pretty darn amazing people that gave sooooo much to so many people. You guys will be missed!! I also want to thank our families and our friends for all of the support, wow thank you all!"
Mike Perotti: "Our group would like to thank everyone so much for their contributions and support to all of our fundraisers. What great support again this year obviously with us raising just over $12k. A huge shout out needs to go to the Dodge Point Country Club for allowing us to play this format and being so flexible and accommodating to us that day, thank you. Lastly, a huge thank you to our families and close friends. Thank you for allowing us to do this and supporting us all the way through. It was really cool having our families and friends out there in the afternoon, thank you!"
Michael Krey: "The two highlights from the day were really having it set in how much of a difference we are making with these fundraisers and then in the afternoon when our families started coming out and riding with us. It was quite an emotional day to say the least. This group and this HOLES FORE A CAUSE is quite special. Thank you all for your support!"
