Dodgeville City Council to begin in person meetings
|The City of Dodgeville opened up its doors for in person services this week according to Dodgeville Mayor Todd Novak. |
The first day of in person services began Tuesday, after the City Hall was closed on Monday due to the Independence Day Holiday.
Novak said they were going to wait to open the building until windows were updated, however made the decision to open.
Novak also made the announcement that since the building is officially open for business, the next City Council meeting will be in person. Zoom meetings will no longer be available.
In other council business:
-Council members approved Ordinance #2021-1400 pertaining to a City of Dodgeville Comprehensive Plan Amendment
-Council members approved an extension of premise permit application from Bob's Bitchin BBQ.
-Council members approved an extension of premise permit application from Dino's.
-Council members approved the Chamber of Commerce's Town Square Arrangement.
-Council members approved the renewal of two year operator licenses for the following individuals (July 1, 2021-June 30, 2023): Joshua McClain, Kevin Schmitz, Michel Lenz, Susan Pierce, Kathleen Stevens, Christopher Caulman, Peter Hyatt, Michelle Joslin, Heather Rae Baker, Amber Weiskircher, Jeralt Fries, Jason Gaukel
-Council members approved new two operator's licenses for Noah Larson and Emily Hockheimer.
-Council members approved a Temporary B Liquor License for the Upland Hills Sip and Savor event taking place July 10 and 11.
-Council members approved a Temporary B Liquor License for Agrace Hospice Care Foundation on August 13, 2021.
-Council members approved claims as read by Alderperson Tom DeVoss.
Council members moved to go into closed session to discuss City litigations. The next council regularly scheduled council meeting is on the calendar for July 20 at 5:30 p.m. in person.
