Multiple properties and
landmarks discussed at Dodgeville City Council meeting
|With the primary election taking place on Tuesday, Dodgeville City Council met last Wednesday night. |
City Clerk Treasurer Lisa Riley informed council members the City of Dodgeville had 312 voters out of 3100 registered; with 212 absentee voters and 100 walk-ins.
Riley also informed council members that the City's text marketing program will continue, but citizens using the program will see a different number. In the next month or so, citizens will receive a text from the City informing them of the change.
It was announced at a recent city council meeting that Riley is resigning from the City of Dodgeville to take the Village of Cobb Clerk position. Mayor Todd Novak announced that the position will be posted. It was also announced that Bill Wall has resigned from the Economic Development Committee and a vacancy is available.
Dodgeville Public Library Director Vickie Stangel informed council members that the Dodgeville Library Annex, located at 301 North Iowa Street, has had many people stopping in.
With the Library Renovation Project on hold due to the pandemic, the City has agreed to allow additional space for the library at this location. Newspapers, magazines, computers, local history and genealogy resources are available for browsing and checkout. The Annex is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
