The Iowa-Grant school board was informed in closed session last Thursday that they will need to find a new District Administrator at the end of this school year.
Stephanie Hubbard had hinted at the last school board meeting she may have other plans when she did not accept a two year extension along with the other administrators in the district. A special meeting in closed session was set to discuss the situation.
Monday, Hubbard informed staff of her decision to leave. Following is her message to the district staff.
"Teachers, administrators, Board members, and community members have all been instrumental in the successful operations of our District throughout the pandemic. As evidenced by the recent citizens of the year accomplishment, we have weathered the pandemic well. We will continue to focus on helping our students, families, and staff get through these challenging times, while shifting our focus to continuous improvement after the COVID-19 pandemic....
