COVID-19 cases at Bloomfield Manor
On Monday, September 7, Bloomfield was notified by a contracted staff member, that they tested positive for COVID-19.
Bloomfield requested tests from the state. Bloomfield Healthcare and Rehab tested all staff and residents on September 9 and 10, 2020. It was confirmed that one resident tested positive. That resident was isolated. The facility then retested all residents and staff on Tuesday, September 15- Thursday, September 17, 2020 for COVID-19. After this round of testing, it was determined that one resident and one staff member tested positive. Both individuals are symptom free and feeling well. Currently in-house we have one positive resident as of this release.
Bloomfield Healthcare and Rehab has been working closely with Iowa County Public Health to safeguard our residents, staff and the community.
The staff member will be isolating at home and the resident is being isolated in a separate wing of the facility. Bloomfield Healthcare and Rehab continues to be vigilant for the health, wellness and safety of our staff and the residents we serve.
Our building remains closed to all non-essential visitors and all residents continue to be screened multiple times daily. Staff members continue to wear masks and face shields and will c to be screened every shift. We continue to closely monitor the latest information from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), CMS and our state and local public health and emergency preparedness officials.
