Ridgeway Village projects
moving along well
Cardinal Way subdivision in Ridgeway is moving along well, members of the Ridgeway Village Board learned last Tuesday.
Village President Jon Steen told the board that there will be three more lots sold by the end of June. Clerk Lori Phelan also said that residents on Tallman Court have voiced their appreciation of how much they like the pond and the wildlife it has attracted.
In another matter concerning Cardinal Way the board awarded a bid for infrastructure of Phase 2 to G Pro Excavating, LLC along with alternate bid #1.
The board also approved restrictions and covenants for Cardinal Way Phase 2 with changes.
The committee for Streets, Sidewalks and Parks submitted several recommendations which were approved. They include:
-No community sponsored events including July 4 celebration
-Park is open and can be used at your own risk
-Farmers Market will now be at the shelter area to provide better social distancing
-An end of summer event will be considered at the July 14 meeting with input from Iowa County Health Department and Emergency Management
-The baseball field will be offered "as is" to Barneveld for 10 weeks at $500
The board heard a report on the Ridgeway Elementary School project and approved the RFP for the feasibility/constructibility of RES as a municipal service center.
