Dodgeville City Council approves
working with Municode
|According to its website, Municode has helped over 4,000 municipalities with updating their codes and ordinances for over 65 years. |
Dodgeville City council has been meeting with different coding businesses that strive in helping government municipalities and council members made their decision on Tuesday night.
James Bonneville, of Municode, pointed out that Municode provides services online code hosting, self publication software, Code Archives, Code Versioning, legal review and publications.
If council decided to do business with Municode, it would be a nine to 12 month timeframe of updates. Council members approved continuing business and starting the codification process with Municode.
City Clerk Treasurer Lisa Riley stated that there will be an upcoming Driftless Homes Project community meeting will be held at the Health and Human Services building on February 19, at 2 p.m. She also announced that an email has been sent, by Dodgeville Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Beth Mikrut-Gilles, that there will be a special showing of the Discover Wisconsin episode on Wednesday April 8 at the Dodgeville High School. A formal invitation will be sent and time has yet to be determined.
Since the library referendum informational was right after city council starting at 6:30, council members approved to increase 2020 recreation fees, and approved the payment of monthly bills.
The next council meeting is on the calendar for Wednesday February 19th, due to the Spring Primary taking place Tuesday February 18.
