|Remembering 911 - 20 years ago|
|September 11, 2001 was a horrific day in the United States when four commercial planes were hijacked by 19 members of the militant Islamist terrorist group al-Qaeda. Two planes crashed into
the twin towers of the World Trade Center, which both collapsed shortly after. A third plane hitting the Pentagon, and a fourth crashing
into a field in Somerset County, Pennsylvania.
Several area fire departments paid tribute to those who lost their lives during those events the day with displays and flags hanging from their trucks. Here is such a display as dne by the rewey Fire Department. Photo by DaCR Photography.|
