Barneveld School Board receives several donations

Many donations, a new custodian hire, and other news happened at the Barneveld School Board meeting held on Wednesday, October 9th.
The board approved base wages for custodians from $19.87 per hour to $20.00. Following that approval, the board approved the hiring of Kerry Ojibway as the new Night Custodian who started on Monday, October 14th.
Last week the Board recognized its Bus Drivers in appreciation for all that they do safely driving daily routes with students. Those drivers are Bill Dimpfl, Lee Pollock, Robby Schlimgen, Tim Sullivan, and Chris Thousand.
It was also School Board Appreciation Week and Board Members Jaci Haack, Denise Douglas, Amy Hugill, Nick Meyer, David Moyer, Tadd Owens, and Jeff Reese were recognized for their many hours of time and service to the Barneveld School District.
The board also recognized Kenton Gilbertson who retired following his last day on October 3rd. The district thanked him for his dedication to the school building and students and staff. Donations of $13,664 were accepted for the following:
• Donations for Hudl Live Streaming Service plus Baseball Signs: $1200 Ope Haus, $1200 Vortex, $1200 Whitetail Concrete, $1200 Wright's Feed Service, and $1200 Mark It
• Donations for Hudl Live Streaming Service: $700 Quantum Devices, $700 Gerber Leisure, $700 Kittleson Landscaping, $700 Hi Point Steakhouse, and $700 CCM Real Estate...
