New Maps

Dear Editor, 

Thank you to Representative Novak and Senator Marklein for voting for Governor Ever’s redistricting maps for our State Assembly and State Senate.  Now we need legislation that is written in a bipartisan manner with input from experts, advocates and the public to have a nonpartisan, transparent procedure for drawing fair maps in the future.  This would be in contrast to recent legislation that was written secretly with no input from Democrats, advocate, experts or the public.  The process is often as important as the result when trying to engender trust and transparency.
