Heibel-Althaus, Pamela A.

Pamela A. Heibel-Althaus, age 69, of Dodgeville, born to life October 15, 1954, passed from death into Everlasting Life on Monday, March 4, 2024.

She was born on October 15, 1954 in Dodgeville, a daughter of the late Dwayne and L. Joan (Reese) Heibel. Pam was raised by her parents in Dodgeville and this is where she chose to live and work throughout her adult life, as well. She attended St. Joseph Catholic School, Dodgeville High School and UW-Platteville, where she graduated with a teaching degree (Magna Cum Laude). She had a number of jobs, but spent the majority of her working career at Lands’ End, retiring in November of 2020, after 37 years.

In 2001, Pam became reacquainted with an old friend, Garth Althaus and they were married on October 23, 2004. Pam enjoyed crafts and flea markets and loved exploring every market she could find. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, and her religion was very important to her.

Pam is survived by her husband Garth Althaus; her brother Mike (Cindy) Heibel of New Albany, Indiana; her nephews Daniel (Meredith) Heibel and Rob Heibel; her step sons Aaron and Adam Althaus; her father-in-law Maurice Althaus; many relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 8, 2024 at ST. JOSEPH’S CATHOLIC CHURCH in Dodgeville. Burial will be held in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until 10:50 a.m. on Friday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to St. Joseph’s School, St. Joseph’s Church or the Iowa County Humane Society.
