Anyone have a house for sale in Dodgeville?

Dear Editor,

Anyone have a house for sale in Dodgeville?

But it's gotta be quick: I live outside the city so I want to buy a house and move to Dodgeville in time to vote for Barry Hottmann for mayor on April 2.

Here's why: Barry is the right person to lead our town. I call it my town even though I live in Highland Township because it is the city that I frequent for all my local needs such as the library, shopping, post office, restaurants & food trucks, farmers market in season, movie theater, BMO bank, coffee shop, school plays. But there's so much more:

I also look forward every July to the Town Square -- the "beer garden" offering family fun for all -- that sets up for two weeks on Merrimac Street right next to Bob's Bitchin' BBQ. The Town Square was the brainchild of guess who? Yep. Barry Hottmann.

I also enjoy the new Dodgeville High School auditorium and even became a member of the newly formed Dodgeville Area Arts Community organization working to fill the stage with all kinds of entertainment by and for our local residents. Who's one of the many people behind that? Oh, yes, right again: Barry Hottmann.

There's a new community center in the Plymouth Church on the corner of Merrimac and Main called...Merrimac + Main! It's only been offering activities and gatherings since January, but the sewing class for middle schoolers was a grand success, as was the Valentine's Day Story Night, and a lecture about education, and the ongoing secular spirituality gatherings on Sundays and yoga on Wednesdays & Saturdays. Many other activities are planned for this truly special center to gather, learn, exchange ideas and support one another. All are welcome and it's exactly what Dodgeville needs to address some of our community needs especially for our seniors and kids. It's an extraordinary place run by many volunteers and managed by Rachel Leigh Peller, but do you know who was at the table in the early days planning to make this happen? You got it! Barry Hottmann.

Barry cares. Barry wants to make his hometown, Dodgeville, and the surrounding area a place of community, safety, and activity. He has vision and knows how to follow through. He has imagination, identifies needs, and brings people together to find solutions. He has common sense and works for the common good. Barry Hottmann is by far the best candidate for mayor for Dodgeville and I strongly encourage you lucky folks who live in the city of Dodgeville to vote for him!

Now, who has that cute house for sale in Dodgeville so I can vote for Barry Hottmann too.
