Avoca man arrested after stand-off


Kyle McIntosh, 33, Avoca, was taken into custody December 30 after an incident involving siblings got out of hand in the Town of Pulaski.

Iowa County Sheriff’s Department, SW Emergency Response Team, Avoca Police-Fire-EMS and Highland Fire-EMS all responded to the scene at 12:51 a.m. and found McIntosh barricaded inside. All others involved had left the residence.

McIntosh was believed to be armed and under the influence of narcotics.

At 3:41 p.m. December 30, McIntosh was taken into custody with no incident.  He was arrested on charges of a probation hold and endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon.  He will remain in jail until a court hearing.

Iowa County Sheriff Michael Peterson pointed out the incident was resolved with no injuries and thanked all involved
